Hi Guys..

A few things to know about the Rotor Crown and its functionality. We chose to make it sit above the loader vs. flush to the loader for several reasons.

By sitting above the loader, the paddles have more room to drop down, as well as spring back up, which helps it to feed quicker, and keep the paint in better. You can also hold about 20 extra rounds in the loader now too.

If we made it flush to the loader (like the dye feed, or some of the crown mods people have done), when you load a full pod to an empty loader, (or especially a loader with say 20 balls or more left, which is ideal when you reload), the paddles get pushed down by the paint, and don’t have room to spring back up. (the paint stays in the way). Now you have all 8 paddles trapped in the down position until you shoot 20+ balls, and as you run around the paint comes flying out.

As far as the profile of the Crown sitting 1/2″ higher then flush; If you do get shot in that 1/2″ lip, you were most likely getting shot anyway.

We have a very small first run of these at our booth at Huntington Beach, and they will be available in stores very shortly. If any players who use the Rotor Crown at Huntington Beach have some feedback, please let us know. We still can make some very minor changes before the upcoming release based on the results at Huntington Beach this weekend. Feel free to email me direct at Mike@Virtuepaintball.com with any comments.

Thanks!
Mike
